HabitBuddy uses a small set of account, challenge, and device information to provide the service.
Account information
Email address, authentication provider, anonymous alias, language, and timezone.
Habit activity
Selected habit, reminder schedule, check-ins, streaks, challenge progress, and completion.
Service information
App version, device platform, notification settings, diagnostics, and security events.
How we use your information
- Create and secure your account.
- Match you with a compatible anonymous buddy.
- Track check-ins, streaks, reminders, and challenge progress.
- Process Premium access through the App Store or Google Play.
- Prevent abuse, investigate reports, and improve reliability.
Retention and security
We keep information only while it is needed to provide HabitBuddy, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect the service. Access is restricted and sensitive data is protected in transit and at rest.
Deleting your account starts permanent deletion of personal HabitBuddy data, subject to limited legal and security retention requirements.
